Our Origin

I’m Stelios, born and raised in Crete — an island where food isn’t just fuel, it’s a way of life. I grew up surrounded by the flavours of the Mediterranean: smoky aubergines, creamy pulses, tangy yogurt, and olive oil at the centre of every meal. Food was fresh, vibrant, and nourishing. It connected families, friends, and communities.

But when I moved abroad and looked at supermarket shelves, I saw something different. Snacks that claimed to be “healthy” were often full of compromises: preservatives, cheap oils, and artificial flavours. They lacked the soul of real food. They lacked the joy of eating.

That’s when my background came in. I had studied Food Science and Nutrition in Greece, later training as a Food Scientist here in the UK. I understood both the science of nutrition and the art of flavour. And I knew there had to be a better way — food that was scientifically balanced, nutritionally honest, and genuinely delicious.

So, I went back to my kitchen. Armed with tradition and science, I started experimenting: dips inspired by my Cretan roots, remixed with a clean-label approach. No weird preservatives. No cheap shortcuts. Just ingredients you can trust — crafted for both health and taste.

What started as personal recipes soon grew beyond my kitchen. Friends asked for jars. Farmers’ market visitors came back week after week. And I realised there was a real hunger for something different: snacks created with nutrition at the core, science in the process, and flavour leading the way.

And that’s how Dipeat was born.

Today, every jar is small-batch made in London, blending Greek tradition, modern food science, and my passion for nutrition. Our mission is simple:
